Tips and tricks

Trick #1 – RSS feeds.
Access RSS feeds from the tray application.

  • Click on the P logo on your start bar.
  • Select New from RSS Channel…
  • Enter an RSS URL. An example of Flickr photos tagged with dogs: http://www.flickr.com/services/feeds/photos_public.gne?tags=dogs&format=rss200
  • Copy and past an RSS URL into the field. This will start to pull photos with the tag DOG from Flickr.
  • Flickr will download 10 photos and photos will be updated every 30 mins.
  • You can enter any 2.0 RSS feed.
  • Enjoy!
Trick #2 – Always on Top.
Easily drag and drop photos when you find them by setting the PhotoSticky window as Always on Top.
  • Open a new sticky by double-clicking on the tray icon
  • Click the menu button (at left) and choose Always on Top.
  • Look for photos that you like, and when you find one, drag it into the sticky.
  • When you’re ready, hit play and make sure it all looks good.
  • Send it off to your friends and family!
Trick #3 – Drag and Drop.
You can easily drag and drop a folder of images onto the PhotoSticky icon to make a slideshow of the images in the folder.
  • Find a folder of images
  • Drag it to the Create a PhotoSticky icon on your desktop
  • PhotoSticky will launch and load the first 12 photos from your folder
  • Once the photos are loaded a slideshow will appear automatically with the title of the show as the folder name.
Trick #4 – Changing Styles.
You can easily change the transition type between two photos by clicking on the Edit Properties icon.
  • Hover over a photo.
  • Click on the Edit properties icon
  • Choose a transition type from the Transition menu (Cross fade is selected by default)
  • Modify the timing of the transition with the slider bar.
  • Modify the duration the photo is displayed by dragging the Duration slider bar.
