Preclick Tutorial #2: Emailing Photos

Emailing your photos

Preclick makes it easy to email photos to your friends, co-workers and family. Preclick allows you to select the photos that you would like to email offline, meaning that you do not need to be connected to the Internet until you actually want to send your email. Preclick automatically reduces the size of your photos (so that they will take less time for you to upload and for your friends to download) and attaches them to a new email in your default email program.

Select photos to email

Along the top of the application there are four tabs. The third tab displays the photos you’ve selected for sharing. The next section of this tutorial explains how to select photos and add them to these tabs.

Browse through your photographs and pick the ones that you want to email. There are three ways to select photos to email:

A. Beneath the currently viewed photograph is a row of icons:

Click the second icon to select the current photo for Sharing. (Click this icon a second time to deselect the current photo.) After you select a photo by clicking the share button you'll see an increase in the number of photos in the Share Tab at the top.

B. You can also select photos for sharing from the filmstrip. Beneath each thumbnail photo in the filmstrip are the same three small icons. Click the second icon to select it for sharing.

C. On the Share tab there is an Add Many button. Clicking the Add Many button will give you the option to add the entire filmstrip, your recent photos (latest roll), the current photo under the lens or an album to the tab. You can remove one or more photos from the tab by selecting the photo and clicking the Clear One button on the bottom of the Share tab.

Once you are finishing selecting your photos, go to the Share tab to review the photos and click the Send Photos button to attach them to a new email.

Receiving Photos from Friends

When you email photos to friends, Preclick attaches a message so it's easy for your friends to download Preclick. It is not required for them to install Preclick, however, once they do, they'll be able to easily send you their favorite new photos. With Preclick installed on their machine, they will also be able to read the information you have previously entered in the PhotoBack™ for each photo.
